It's tempting to think that people with mental illness have something wrong with them.. That they are mentally ill. But I think that maybe quite possibly there is something extremely right with them. That their brains have a more beautiful and superior way of processing and integrating the world. I think that quite possibly maybe the way we have managed to organize our society into what we think of as "the right way" is causing a massive system overload in their brains. Maybe they aren't the ones with the problem. Maybe they are just the canaries in the coal mine... And if we are not careful, we're next.
