My Greatest Friend

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to a very good friend of mine... 

No matter how many times I mess up she is always there to help me pick myself up without judgment. Even if I make the same mistakes a hundred times, she doesn't get frustrated with me. 

She is gentle when she speaks and in her actions. It seems like she never misses an opportunity to be thoughtful! 

When something good happens to me she is always so happy for me and never jealous. When something bad happens she has hugs and compassion for me. 

She doesn't seem to have to talk about all the great things she has or does or is. She seems to want more for others than she wants for herself. 

She is hard to offend, and even if I'm having a bad day and tear a strip out of her, she just hears how I'm feeling and doesn't get all defensive. She doesn't speak badly of others, at least I've never heard her do it. She honors everyone with her words. 

She would take a bullet for me, give up her bed for me, and even give me the very last chocolate chip cookie, happily and without hesitation. 

Even though I've let her down, she always believes in me, and gives me every opportunity to show that I am worthy of her trust. She is optimistic and shares all of my hopes. 

She never ever gives up on me! 

I see my good friend every day in so many places.. She is in my daughters hug and in the phone call from my sister. She is the help when I didn't have a place to turn and she is especially in my best friends eyes when he smiles at me. 

Her name is Love, and I am so thankful for all of you who have shared her with me. I want to try every day to share more of her with you too :-)
